Dubuque Area Society of Women Engineers (Dubuque SWE) Professional Section is one of the newest SWE Professional Sections in the Society. It was chartered in October 2011 by Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Professionals in the tri-state area.
The Dubuque Area SWE Professional Section is committed to STEM professionals and offers a wide-range of opportunities from professional development, to networking, to outreach. Previously held professional development events include leadership coaching, touring local facilities, as well as attending conference workshops at the regional and national levels.
There are a variety of networking opportunities available through SWE from meeting other professionals in the Dubuque area to meeting members of other societies through collaborative joint events.
SWE is committed to outreach, whether that is mentoring young professionals or speaking at a local school career fair about STEM fields.
